Hello!

I’m an economist and strategist focused on markets, competition dynamics, and the intersection of data and institutional innovation.

Currently, I’m a Managing Director at FTI Consulting, where I lead complex analytical work on competition economics, ESG strategy, and financial markets. I work across teams to connect insights from economics, policy, and corporate strategy—often in high-stakes, high-uncertainty environments.

Before FTI, I served as a Senior Financial Economist at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. There, I worked on securities litigations and market regulation, including major rule makings like the Market Data Infrastructure Rule. Earlier in my public sector career, I evaluated the real-world impact of auditing standards at the PCAOB, bringing an empirical lens to questions of institutional effectiveness and investor trust.

I started my career at Bates White, working on merger review, cartel investigations, and antitrust strategy across industries—from medical devices to industrial inputs.

I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from NYU’s Stern School of Business, where I specialized in strategy and competition economics. Originally from Turkey, I studied economics at Boğaziçi University and have called the U.S. home since 2004.
